Sunflower Saturday

Berkshire Botanicals is offering one free Sunflower or Zinnia seedling with any purchase from any Market vendor. Stop by the Managers Tent to pick up. Learn how to make your own biodegradable seedling pod from newspaper for planting vegetables or flowers.

Sweet Potato Slips Sale
Vermont Community Graden will be selling pots of three fully rooted sweet potato slips for $6, with a free pot for every six ordered.  Funds will support our garden education programs for low-income families.

The organic Orleans Sweet Potato slips come from Jones Family Farms in Bailey, North Carolina, and are approved for use in certified organic production by Vermont Organic Farmers, LLC. If folks are interested but unable to make it to the farmers market, they are welcome to contact our office to make other arrangements!

Farm to Family Coupon/ WIC Day

WIC staff will be at the Morrisville Farmer’s Market July 13th and August 10, 10:00 am to 12:30 pm with Farm to Family coupons. The Farm to Family program gives coupons to WIC families to buy locally grown fresh vegetables and fruit at farmers’ markets. Coupons are available on a first come, first serve basis to WIC participants 6 months and older, valued at $30 per participant with a maximum of $60 per family. Please call the WIC office at 888-7447 to find out if there are still coupons left for the August date. WIC staff will have a demo taste test made with fresh farm produce and a vegetable scavenger hunt for the children.
